Summary

When receiving a call on your Skype for Business phone number, you can choose to ring and answer directly from the Skype app or forward the call to your mobile phone. This tutorial will guide you in setting up Skype call forwarding.

 

Steps

1. Open the Skype for Business application and navigate to the bottom of the window. You will see an icon for the drop down options menu for call forwarding. The status of your call forwarding setting is displayed as “on” or “off”.


 

2.  Click the phone icon to open the drop down menu. Here you will see multiple options listed.


 

3. Mouse over the Forward Calls To line to open forwarding options. If you have had a phone number set up previously you will see this number in this list, otherwise choose New Number or Contact.


 

4. Enter the number you wish to forward Skype calls to. You may also choose a contact in your list to receive your calls.



5. You will be notified that your Skype calls are being forwarded to the number you have entered and your forwarding status is now “on”.

 


6. In the phone drop down menu, you can choose your number (or any others) you have entered into Skype to forward. Ensure there is a check mark next to the number you wish to be forwarded to. All checked options will ring when your Skype for Business phone number is called.



7. To change your call forwarding settings, click the Call Forwarding Settings button in the phone drop down menu.


 

8. A window will open with options to choose your forwarding option. Ensure your setting are set to your preference and click Okay to close the window.
