Summary
Skype for Business is our Unified Communications program. Basically your phone. One of your first tasks in Skype for Business will be to setup your voicemail. This is a relatively simple process that any supervisor or IS representation can help you with should you have questions after this guide.
Notes
Your division manager may have a script they want you to apply to your voicemail directing callers to leave information you will need regularly or what numbers to contact in case you can’t be reached. Check with your supervisor before setting this message. Otherwise just remember brevity and professionalism are important here.
Steps
1. The first time you log onto your machine you will need to launch Skype for Business. In later log in sessions it will likely launch when Windows starts. First open Outlook from your taskbar and sign into the outlook client.
To launch Skype for Business go down to your search here bar in the bottom left and type in Skype.
2. Once your Skype client has loaded click on the Dial-pad. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Tape Recorder. Now select Change Greetings. Do not select Set up Voice Mail
Once you have selected Change Greetings a Skype call will begin and an automated system will walk you through the process of setting your greeting. This same process is used to change your greeting if necessary.
