Summary
For those using Global Protect there is an easy way to change your password on your remote machine as if you were in the office.
Notes
You need to know your password. Your account can not be locked out. Contact IS if either of these are problems to have your Password reset.
Steps
1. Make sure you are connected to the internet on your local machine (the one in your home)
2. Make sure you are connected to Global Protect
3. Connect to your Desktop RDP Session
4. Once you have connected to your remote session press the keyboard combination:
ctrl + alt + end
This will result in a menu popping up that is similar to your ctrl + alt + del but on the local machine.
This is what the correct menu looks like:
NOTE: IF YOU SEE THE MENU OPTION SWITCH USER, YOU ARE IN THE WRONG MENU
5. Select Change a Password
6. Enter your current password in the Old Password
7. Enter your new password and then confirm it
8. Press Enter or the Arrow next to Confirm Password
9. Restart your machine in the office
10. Restart the machine in your home
11. Make sure you enter your new password in any locations you are saving passwords. I.E. iPhone, iPad, Browsers (please do not save domain passwords in browsers)
