Summary

This tutorial will guide you in locating basic system information about the machine you are using. Often times this information can be found in a label on top of your machine, sometimes however you need to go in manually and determine the details. This information can be used to aid IS staff.


Steps

1. Click on the File Explorer icon at the bottom of your desktop window.

 

 

 

2. Mouse over to the left of the window and locate the section that says This PC.

 


3. Right click This PC and click on Properties.


 

4. A window will open providing you with basic computer information such as OS edition, System components, Domain and computer name and product id.
