Summary

This tutorial will guide you in creating a meeting from within the Microsoft Teams platform.

 

Steps

1. Open the Microsoft Teams desktop application.



 

2. Navigate to the Calendar tab in the options column on the left side of your screen. You will be brought to your Teams calendar view.

 

 

3. Next, click the +New meeting icon in the top right corner.


 

4. From this page you will be able to customize your meeting details. Enter the name of the meeting, attendees you would like to invite, when and where you want the meeting to take place as well as recurrence. When you are finished click the Send in the top right corner of your screen.


    NOTE: The Add Channel function will send this meeting invite to those who are within specific channels or groups. Use this function if you have members of an existing team that you would like to invite instead of adding everyone                         separately.


 

 

5. Your attendees will be sent an email notification. You can accept and enter the meeting from here. Example shown below.


 

6. If you are the meeting creator, you can cancel the meeting by opening the meeting within teams and selecting the Cancel Meeting option in the top left of the details window.
