Summary
This tutorial will guide you in installing the Microsoft Teams desktop application. Teams is a proprietary business communication platform developed by Microsoft, as part of the Microsoft 365 family of products.
NOTE: We do not recommend using Teams on your remote machine. Install this software on your local machine to bypass the VPN and improve connection stability.
Steps
1. Navigate to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app#desktopAppDownloadregion and click on the Download for Desktop link.
2. After your download is complete locate the file in your downloads or the bottom left corner of your screen and run the Teams executable by double clicking it.
3. Once Teams installed you will be asked to sign in. Use your full email address and password.
4. You will then be presented with an option to allow your organization to manage your device. Ensure the check box is checked and click OK.
5. This window confirms the install and setup is complete. Click done to continue. Microsoft teams will open automatically.
