Summary

Your Mifi is configured to update automatically. Manually updating the device ensures you have the latest version. This tutorial will guide you in manually updating your MiFi wireless hotspot device in just a few steps.

NOTE: Ensure your MiFi device is plugged in and charging and there is no internet traffic on the device other than the manual update itself.

Steps

1. Power on your MiFi device. Then select Menu on the main screen.

 



2. Scroll down to and then select Software Update.

 



3. Now select Check for Update.



Now your device will update if one is available.


Additionally, to help promote the safe operation of all devices, we suggest the following best practices:

1. Use only approved charging cables, including the cable provided.

2. When not in use, power down/turn off your device.

3. Place your device on a flat, solid and sturdy surface such as a floor or table.

4. Ensure your device is not covered for proper ventilation.

5. Keep devices near room temperature when in use.

6. Do not expose the units to extreme temperatures for extended periods of time.

7. Do not expose the unit or its battery to water or other liquids.

8. Do not drop the units and do not insert foreign objects into the battery or unit.
