Summary

This tutorial will guide you in changing your sound settings within a webex meeting.

 

Steps

1. Once you have the meeting information, follow the URL and type in your information to join the meeting. Then click Join Now.

2. You will be brought to a pre-meeting window to allow you to test your audio equipment.

3. Click the Audio Options arrow next to your mute button to view which devices you have selected for audio output and microphone input to your machine. Your currently used device is marked with a blue check mark. Click the name of another device to change.

4. Additional audio settings can be access by selecting Test speaker and mic option in the pre-meeting window. Here you will be provided with additional options for your sound settings. Click Test to test your speaker and microphone.

5. Once you are finished testing your equipment, click Join event.

6. Once you have joined the meeting from the pre-meeting window, you will see the option to change audio and microphone settings in the bottom of the meeting window. These options operate the same as we have mentioned in step 3 of this tutorial.

NOTE: If your “mute” button is gray (see below) then you have joined as an attendee, not a panelist. Attendees do not have the options to mute and unmute their microphone.
