Summary
This tutorial will guide you in the process of acquiring Skillsets training courses. Skillsets is the online training platform that Butte County uses to train employees on many different tools used daily. Follow the steps below to be added as a student of this program.
NOTE: If you are new to skillsets and have never accessed these online training courses, email [email protected] to enroll.
Acquiring a Skillsets library card
1. To assign yourself a library card, you must first log into the Student Dashboard. Open a Google Chrome web browser and navigate to https://skillsetsonline.com/
2. On the left side, select LOGIN: MY DASHBOARD
3. To log into the student dashboard, you will need a PIN number. If this is your first time logging in, click Email my PIN to me then enter your email address, then click Email my PIN. You will receive an email from Skillsets with the PIN to your student Dashboard. Once you have the PIN, navigate back to the page shown below and enter in your email address and PIN into the fields provided and click Sign In.
4. Once you are signed in, you will see a How it Works message. Read the provided information then click Got it. Continue to my Dashboard.
5. To obtain a Library card, select Get Library Card Credentials on the left side of the screen.
6. You will be asked to confirm your email address. Click Confirm.
7. You will then receive an email notification. Save this email for your records, you will need this information every time you want to log into the Skillsets library.
Logging into Skillsets courses
3. Click the Skillsets logo. This will redirect you to the login screen.
4. Enter your user ID and password, then click, Login to Skillport.
5. Click Library near the top of your screen and select which courses you would like to attend.
From here, choose your specific course and continue through the module.
