Summary

We have been struggling for a while with adding contacts to permits/projects in TRAKiT due to either the AEC lookup not working or adding contacts creating a critical failure message.   This guide is a workaround to add a contact to a permit from the AEC record itself.

 

Steps

1. Go to the Permit/Project/Case you want to add a contact to.  

2. Choose what time of Contact you want to use (in this example Architect) Enter the name as TEST and save the record.


3. Now grab your record ID (Permit/Project/Case #) and go into the record for the AEC entity you want to tie the permit to.

4. Click on the Grey box with the whit down arrow.

5.  Select Link to...

6. Enter the Permit # into the search, then in the drop-down select the record type. (Permit in this example)

7. This will Search for the record number to select 

8. Click on the record number


9. Select the contact you want to populate with this AEC record

10. When you return to your permit the contact will be filled in with the linked AEC record information.
